Bio
Prior to starting The Swanson Group LLC, Tabitha was a Principal at a Portland Accounting Firm, the Administrator of a South Portland Medical Practice and Endoscopy Center, and the Controller of a Portland law firm. She has also worked in accounting for a large insurance company and audited several medical facilities. Tabitha enjoys building strong relationships with her clients, helping them identify their problems and developing strategies to implement appropriate ideas and solutions.
Tabitha graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 2000. In 2002, she received her Certified Public Accountant designation in Maine and in 2007 she received her Certified in Management Accounting and Certified Financial Manager designations. Tabitha lives in Gorham with her husband, son and daughter.

Bio
Sally’s professional background includes work in the retail grocery industry, tax services for a variety of clients while at Ernst & Whinney, and then managing Keirstead & Fox with her partner, Dwight Keirstead. Upon Dwight’s retirement she and her staff joined Tabitha and The Swanson Group LLC. She is looking forward to continuing to work with various small businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals to meet their tax and accounting needs.
Sally graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1977 and a MBA from the University of New Hampshire Plymouth State in 1980. She received her Certified Public Accountant designation from Maine in 1984. She has served on the boards of several local non-profit agencies and currently is treasurer of a small organization in Westbrook. She and Dwight reside in Westbrook with their dog Oreo.

Bio
Mike began his career in private accounting where he managed accounting and finances for a manufacturer, a regional restaurant chain, and a college. In private accounting he learned the value of listening to business owners to truly understand their needs and goals in order to offer personalized solutions. In 1998 he took his career in a new direction with the goal to become a CPA. He then began working for a large local accounting firm in the tax section where he was fortunate to be exposed to a broad array of challenging experiences. After moving on to a couple other accounting firms he decided to set out on his own in 2011. In 2015, he joined The Swanson Group LLC, where he can work closer with clients of any size or complexity to meet their individual, unique needs.
Mike graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration—Accounting in 1982. In 2002, he received the Certified Public Accountant designation. And, in 2004, Mike earned a Master of Science in Taxation from Thomas College.
When not working, Mike loves to be outside to walk, hike, mountain bike, and camp with family. He lives in Portland with his wife, Denise, and their two sons.

Bio
Jean joined The Swanson Group LLC in May, 2015, in conjunction with the acquisition of Keirstead & Fox where she worked as a Senior Manager for 12 years. Prior to that, she worked as the chief financial officer for a Westbrook based trade association and as a senior manager for a Portland accounting firm. Jean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rockford College in Illinois and received her Certified Public Accountant designation in Maine in 1984. Jean currently volunteers for the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals and MPBN radio and has served as past treasurer of several Greater Portland non-profit organizations. She enjoys gardening and music and lives in South Portland with Koty the cat.

Crystal Dunne

Bio
Prior to joining Tabitha and The Swanson Group LLC in 2014, Crystal worked as an Accountant for a CPA firm in Portland. She has also worked for the Department of the Navy as a Human Resources Manager and as an Administrator for a major University in South Florida. Crystal has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Keiser College in Accounting and lives in Scarborough with her three children.

Prior to joining The Swanson Group LLC, Jessica worked with Tabitha at three other local CPA firms. She is excited to be connected with her again as The Swanson Group LLC’s part-time accountant. Jessica graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Jessica has worked for various small and large local accounting firms. She lives in Windham with her husband and children.

Prior to joining Tabitha and The Swanson Group LLC, Diann worked for Keirstead & Fox for the past 15 years. Before relocating to Maine she owned a residential glazing business. She lives in the Sebago Lake area with her dog Dixie.
